We harmonize so well together. That was the reason we gave for taking the next step and learning more and more songs. We were huge fans of Simon and Garfunkel and learned much of their repertoire. Friends in High School gave us the nickname "Simick and Hosterfunkel".

When we got to college we decided upon the name NOVEMBER. Just in case we added band members, having one name would be easier than dealing with more and more names on our title (It did work out pretty well for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young though, didn't it?).
Anyway, we played a ton of shows and released our first cassette called "Singin' On the Way". Yes, cassette. (We have since re-released this as a CD) Click on the picture below to follow the link to listen and buy it!

It seemed to take forever for our first cassette to be released because IT DID! Visit our "Journal" page for stories and more history about us.
We recorded Singin On the Way in 1991 but it took over a year to release, so by then we had amassed enough songs to record two more CD's. So we did. BONFIRE and POETS & PRIESTS

Released in 1993, we separated the musical themes into two CD's: Bonfire was a CD of love songs. Poets & Priests was a CD about life and lessons learned. Click on each picture to hear some of those music tracks.
We toured a lot over the next year and a half and slowly became disenchanted with the direction we were going.
Instead of sitting down and coming up with a new plan for November, we decided to part ways in order to pursue our own creative endeavors. Greg moved to Los Angeles and Devan moved to Memphis.
Over the next 20 years, we both played in many different bands and learned a lot about the music business. We learned that the business side of music can suck the creative life from you and ruin the motivation on why we became musicians in the first place. Don't get me wrong, we both had fun and had many experiences, but there was something always missing. We both played with band members who were more talented than us, but again, something never felt complete.
Musical chemistry. There's probably a more appropriate term for it, but it's the same thing that happens when two halves are separated, but never quite the same until they are together to make a whole. Use Simon and Garfunkel. Both had successful careers as solo artists, but nothing quite the same as when they were together. Look at the Indigo Girls, or even Crosby, Stills, and Nash, separate they are good, but together as a whole they are GREAT.
In early 2016, we realized just that. After mending our self-inflicted wounds from the past, we have a new vision for our future. Making music together sounds and feels so much better. It feels like home.
We released two new CD's . The songs are amazing and show how the power of two minds definitely work better together as a whole.
Because we have families and jobs, our touring schedule is as minimal as possible. We play in Tulsa and Memphis exclusively once every few months. COME SEE A SHOW SOON! For those of you who want to watch but can't see us live, then visit our YouTube page to watch us play.
